Everyone is invited to attend the monthly temple maintenance day and share in enjoyable fellowship and in serving the needs of our temple. No special skills are needed.
Temple Day Retreat
Saturday, September 28 | 10:00 am – 4:00 pm | Main Chapel
All are welcome to attend the Fall Retreat which will be led by Brother Jayananda.
The day will consist of morning meditation accompanied by the kirtan group.
The afternoon portion will be the DVD of Sri Daya Mata’s satsanga: Beholding God in the Temple of All Life followed by a closing meditation.
Recorded at the SRF Mother Center in 1982 the satsanga allows everyone to experience the uplifting atmosphere of joy, wisdom, and devotion that flowed as a tangible presence from Sri Daya Mata to all who met her. Flier
Lahiri Mahasaya Commemoration Services

Monday, September 30 – Birthday Commemorative Service
Service 8:00 pm | Meditation 7:00 pm
The temple will hold commemorative services for our ParamParmGuru to honor his birth and ascension.
The services will be minister-led and accompanied by the kirtan group during periods of chanting. Traditional symbolic offerings of a flower and a monetary donation are given during the service.
Six Hour Meditation
Saturday, October 5 | 10:00 am – 4:00 pm | Main Chapel
The Six Hour meditations consist of periods of silent mediation lasting approximately 40 – 45 minutes.
Chanting, accompanied by the temple kirtan group, occurs between meditation periods.
To provide the optimum meditation experience, silence from all vocal sounds and stillness of physical movements is requested.
Please review the SRF meditation guidelines. If it is necessary to leave the chapel, please do so only during chanting.
The meditation begins with the SRF Energization Exercises which were developed by Paramahansa Yogananda. Participation is optional.
Saturday, October 19 | 3:00 pm | Main Chapel
Kriyaban cards are needed for admittance. Registration is not necessary.
Attendees must also have previously attended an SRF Kriya Initiation Ceremony at Mother Center or at an SRF temple.
The offerings of a fruit, flower, and monetary donation are traditional. The Woolsey Street door will open at 2:00 pm.
Please plan to arrive early and add extra time to your commute due to Saturday traffic and neighborhood parking.

SRF Lessons New Edition
This greatly enhanced and expanded edition of the Self-Realization Fellowship Lessons is now available. This new edition contains a wealth of additional material from Paramahansaji’s writings and classes, including clearer and more detailed instruction on the SRF meditation techniques and many other subjects.
For those of you who are already a graduate of the SRF Lessons, the availability of the revised Lessons presents a unique opportunity to renew one’s relationship with the Guru and study of the SRF teachings.
