Satsanga is a term used to describe a ‘coming together for Truth’.
At Berkeley Temple a Satsanga Service is an opportunity for members to receive answers to their pre-written spiritual questions which will be addressed by our ministers during the monthly Satsanga Services.
Pre-written questions may be submitted in one of two ways:
1. Placed in the box located in the back of the Main Chapel titled Satsanga Questions.
2. By using the form at berkeleytemple.org/satsanga-questions.
All questions will be considered and answered at the minister’s discretion.
A minister-led meditation precedes the Satsanga from 7:00 – 7:45 pm.

Memorial Service for Beth O’Brien
Sunday, May 19 | 1:00 pm | Berkeley Temple
Our long-time friend, spiritual companion, and devoted disciple passed into the astral on March 12.
Beth served in many capacities at Richmond Temple and Berkeley Temple. Everyone is invited to join in remembering her life at the memorial service which will be led by Brother Jayananda.
Beth’s humor, service, and energetic personality is lovingly remembered and her presence among us is greatly missed.
Six Hour Meditation
Saturday, May 25 | 10:00 am – 4:00 pm | Main Chapel
This is a lay-disciple led meditation consisting of periods of silent mediation lasting approximately 40 – 45 minutes.
Chanting, accompanied by the temple kirtan group, occurs between meditation periods.
To provide the optimum meditation experience, silence from all vocal sounds and stillness of physical movements is requested.
Please review the SRF meditation guidelines. If it is necessary to leave the chapel, please do so only during chanting.
The meditation begins with the SRF Energization Exercises which were developed by Paramahansa Yogananda. Participation is optional.
