The Berkeley Temple is located at 3201 Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley, at the SE corner of Shattuck and Woolsey, four blocks south of Ashby. There is ample street parking within a 3 block radius. Weekdays after 3 p.m. and all day on Saturday and Sunday, parking is available in the nearby BART parking lot accessed from Woolsey Street. (See Google Map)
By freeway from Sacramento:
Take I-80 West to the Ashby exit. Proceed East on Ashby to Shattuck Ave. Turn right onto Shattuck Ave. and proceed 3 blocks to Woolsey. The Berkeley Temple is on the corner.
By freeway from Oakland/Hayward/Castro Valley:
Take I-80 North to I-980 East. Take the 51st St. exit. Turn right onto 51st Street, then take the first left onto Shattuck Ave and proceed for approximately 1 mile. You will see the Berkeley Temple on the right, at the corner of Shattuck and Woolsey. Coming From I-580 West: Merge onto the Warren Freeway (CA-13) and head toward Berkeley. Follow CA-13 into Berkeley (Tunnel Road to Ashby Ave.) and proceed about 1.5 miles to Shattuck Ave. Turn Left on Shattuck Ave. and drive 4 short blocks. Berkeley Temple will be on your left.
By freeway from San Francisco:
Take the Bay Bridge to I-80 East (toward Sacramento). Take Ashby Avenue exit. Proceed East on Ashby Avenue to Shattuck. Take a right turn at Shattuck heading South. Temple is three blocks from Ashby at the corner of Woolsey Street.
By freeway from Walnut Creek / Concord:
Take Highway 24 southwest to the Telegraph Ave. exit. Turn right onto Telegraph and proceed to Ashby Ave. Turn left onto Ashby and continue to Shattuck Ave. Turn left onto Shattuck Ave. Proceed South on Shattuck Ave. for 3 blocks. You will see the Berkeley Temple on the corner of Shattuck and Woolsey.
By freeway from San Jose:
Take I-880 North to I-80 North. Then proceed according to directions from Oakland.
By freeway from Marin County:
Take Richmond / San Rafael Bridge (I-580 East) and merge onto I-880. Follow the directions from Sacramento.
