Brother Chidananda SRF/YSS President

June 05, 2020

Speaking to the current situation in America and around the world, Brother Chidananda discusses the serious problem of racial injustice and divisiveness, and the way to address not only the symptoms but the cause of this disease facing humanity.

He encourages those who meditate to be true peacemakers by producing peace first within themselves, through meditation, and then radiating that peace to others through spiritual actions that address the deep-rooted racial prejudices in our society.

“The Secrets of Spiritual Progress” by SRF minister Brother Jayananda

In giving the answers to three secrets, SRF minister Brother Jayananda shares insights from Paramahansa Yogananda into how to progress on the spiritual path.

The first secret has to do with knowing the true purpose of life. After revealing the answer to this, Brother Jayananda explains how to achieve this purpose by applying various universal methods of spiritual seeking found in the SRF/YSS teachings, especially that of the technique of Kriya Yoga.

This talk, which includes periods of chanting and meditation, was recorded at the SRF International Headquarters in May, 2020.

Mahavatar Babaji Commemorative Meditations to Be Held Online July 25 in Multiple Languages

July 25 is Mahavatar Babaji Commemoration Day, marking the auspicious occasion when Babaji visited Paramahansa Yogananda at his father’s home in Kolkata to bless the young monk’s mission to America to spread Kriya Yoga worldwide.

This year, the SRF Online Meditation Center will be offering special meditations in multiple languages to honor Mahavatar Babaji, including a longer meditation in Hindi and English.

Please visit the Online Meditation Center’s calendar page for exact times and languages for the July 25 commemorative meditations.

We are not allowed to arrive unannounced at the Berkeley Tempe either to pack or retrieve personal items. The schedule for volunteer packing will be announced along with the Volunteer Sign-up for BAT.

Current Help Needed at Bay Area Temple
The help needed immediately is from high skilled individuals – those in carpentry/construction.
