SRF Online Inspirational Services
Each inspirational service will be posted for an entire week and then replaced the following weekend with a new talk.
“The Liberating Power of Affirmation” by Brother Prafullananda
In this service, SRF minister Brother Prafullananda explores how seekers after highest consciousness can use the power of affirmation, as an adjunct to Kriya Yoga meditation, to achieve their greatest material and spiritual goals.
This talk delves into the idea that if we incorporate Paramahansa Yogananda’s instructions on the science of affirmation into our daily spiritual practice—as explained in Paramahansaji’s “how-to-live” teachings—we can bring about transformations of body and mind that utilize not only the potency of the subconscious but also the superconsciousness that exists within each one of us.
This talk was recorded at the Self-Realization Fellowship International Headquarters in Los Angeles.
Self-Realization Magazine Spring – Free Digital Format
We are happy to announce that the Spring 2020 issue of Self-Realization magazine can now be read for free in digital format.
We hope you enjoy this special issue that celebrates the first 100 years of Paramahansa Yogananda’s Self-Realization Fellowship by exploring the theme “Universal Spirituality for the Coming Global Civilization,” which Paramahansaji’s life and teachings exemplify.
SRF has announced a new worldwide prayer initiative. In the Self-Realization Fellowship and Yogoda Satsanga Society of India ashrams of Paramahansa Yogananda, all the monastics will be praying for the world and all those in need at specific times of the day, and we invite those who wish to do so to join in this collective effort — at those times or any other time that fits into your daily routine.
Following are the times that the monks and nuns at the SRF International Headquarters and other locations in California will be offering these healing prayers: (All times in PDT)

Members have been inquiring how to donate to Berkeley Temple during this time of stay-at-home. We have initiated a donation button on the Temple website and now in the Newsletter.
Every gift is deeply appreciated and will help to make a difference at our Temple. We thank you for your continuing support.
Donations we receive in response to this appeal will be deposited into the Berkeley/Walnut Creek Temple Building Fund and will be used for any large maintenance expenses associated with the Berkeley Temple or Walnut Creek Temple’s buildings and future meeting facilities, grounds, equipment, furniture, vehicles, fundraising expenses, and any potential future property purchases
—which are not typically funded through our operating budget.
From SRF Mother Center: Convocation 2020: Important Announcement
The city of Los Angeles is currently under strict “stay at home” orders because of the Covid-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. Due to Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti’s recent announcement that large public gatherings will not be permitted anytime soon and perhaps not before 2021, and after discussion with the Westin Bonaventure Hotel, we have had to cancel the in-person events for this year’s Convocation.
Though we must cancel our coming together in-person this year, we are going to present a wide range of the 2020 SRF World Convocation events online, transforming this international spiritual gathering into an event capable of reaching thousands more worldwide. Details will be announced soon.
At this time all SRF Temple Meditations and Inspirational Services have been cancelled until further notice.
