 The Berkeley Temple is a branch of Self-Realization Fellowship  (SRF), the international spiritual and humanitarian organization founded in 1920 by Paramahansa Yogananda, author of the spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi.  SRF’s International Headquarters are in Los Angeles, California.

Fundraising For A New East Bay Temple

As more seekers are finding their way to SRF through centers and temples, the one temple that is currently most in need of keeping pace with the insurgence of new seekers is Berkeley Temple.

The goal is to establish a Self-Realization Fellowship Temple with the capacity to serve the greater Bay Area community and to accommodate the SRF monastics who regularly visit as ministers. To accomplish this goal, the Berkeley Temple has began a fundraising campaign to purchase the new buildings in the Oakland/Berkeley area.   continue…
